A self-proclaimed "swammer" (past tense), Dan grew up in Green Bay, WI and began swimming competitively at the age of 7 to try to be like his older brother. He continued to swim through college before eventually moving to the pool deck where he currently resides. After 16 years of competitive swimming and into his 12th year of coaching, there isn’t a single type of swimmer that Dan hasn’t seen. Currently, Dan is working with Men’s and Women’s Swimming at the University of Southern California and with the Trojan Swim Club. By day he is coaching the likes of Conor Dwyer and Ryan Lochte; by night he’s playing bar trivia.
