Hailing from the great state of Texas, Jess did not discover the joys of the pool until her second year at the University of Texas. Fueled by excessive coffee consumption and sleep deprivation, she accidentally signed up for an advanced swimming class. The coach told her she should drop the class - there’s no way she would be able to keep up. Not one to shy from a challenge, Jess stayed in the class (and suffered tremendously), but eventually prevailed and developed a love for swimming in the process. With 18 years of dance training under her belt (or leotard?), as well as extensive experience in Muay Thai, CrossFit, Pilates, and Yoga, Jess finds inspiration and beauty in all types of movement. As a coach, she hopes to inspire and challenge her students to find the beauty for themselves.
